Why it matters
At that size text is unreadable for many people even with good eyesight, and zooming usually breaks the layout. It tends to hit the small print: terms, return windows, legal notices.
How to fix it
Go up to at least 12px, and 16px in the main content. Use relative units (rem) so it respects browser settings.
