The title attribute is doing the label’s job
WCAG 4.1.2 (A) · EN 301 549 9.4.1.2
Some controls get their only name from the title attribute.
Why it matters
A title only appears on mouse hover. Keyboard users never see it, and on mobile it does not exist at all. As the sole label it excludes everyone not using a mouse.
How to fix it
Use visible text or an aria-label. Title can stay as extra information, never as the only one.
